Whatever happened to the toys you used to be able to get from cereal packets? Do they still do them?

I remember when I was a little git, there were so many different toys you could get from different cereals. I still have a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle one from back in 91. Good times.

So, what toys were available from cereals in your time that you collected? DOyou still have any?

Health and safety killed of all the fun.

Toys need to pass strict tests thesev days to get a CE mark. specially for "Small parts"

There is a tube with a sloping closed end. If something fits in there then it is a small part

No one wants to take the risk.

They will live only in our memories.

You don't get them anymore due to changes in advertising regulations that is meant to prevent targeting children.

Wtf? Whats wrong with targeting children. Most adults arent interested in COOOOOKIE CRISP (though they are fine)

And its not as if its Pead o's cereal or something targeting kids.

Christ, and i'm a young one aswell. Last toy I got was from the CARS movie smile

Ooooh, forgot about them. They were cool. Many a time wasted playing with them in class.

The best ones I remember were the little model airliners that used to be in cornflake packets, sort of mini-kits, I still have a De Havilland Comet somewhere.

The little submarines you could fill with baking powder were ace too.

I found putting them on the dog got a pretty good response.. until he hate them / bit me.

I've got a few Frosties toy cars - but I think you had to collect tokens for those (a Jeep and a Corvette)

Just back from a friends and reminded myself of those pencil top trolls. Oh, and the cars you could pull back and let go of that could never go in straight lines. There were also those glow in the dark specials too.

Happy times.
