Mantis interloper

Im watching the Dunlop TVR Challenge on Motors TV. Can someone explain why there is a Marcos Mantis in this series (and doing very well too)

Doug Elwood of David Gerald was invited to race in the invitation class which is open to cars of a similar style etc to the TVR's. I think a marcos being another example of a brit bruiser is entirely fitting to be included. it made for a very good race up in front.

He was doing very well, partly due to the Chevy Ls v8 under the bonnet..He was a little slow into Gerrads but balistic out of it and also out of the hairpin. I was still looking for a way past when my poor old rover v8 dropped a core plug

Thanks for the explaination. Was a great race and the Mantis does fit in well with the TVR's cant wait til the next race.
