While I'm sorry that the bloke's so-called 'car' has been damaged, it's not like the bloody things don't roll over pretty regularly. While awaiting a Loser Cruiser as a teenager I saw a Robin roll over at a relatively gentle corner. Three (fairly large) blokes climbed out of it's new 'sunroof', pissing themselves with laughter, popped it back on it's wheels, got back in, and drove off still laughing.

Blaming Clarkson is just stupid; they are a ridiculous design.

I'm sorry. Let me get this straight. For the entire duration that Reliants have been on the road, no one has figured out that they are prone to 'falling over' due to their design, but as soon as someone shows the nation on TV, suddenly everyone sits up and says 'Oh, thats what happens! We never knew that!'

What gets me is that if Mr Clarkson is being blamed then I'm assuming that Mr Cloughton had watched the episode to know that this had happened. I'm just speculating here, and I know that he claims to be an enthusiast in the article, but I'm wondering whether if he did indeed watch the episode, he might have had a little chuckle at Jeremy's antics at the time?

I'm not excusing the vadalism that's been reported, but I just can't work out why victims are so quick to blame a TV depiction, which immediately takes the focus off of the vandals themselves? Precisely what's wrong with this country.

BBC, if you're listening, just chuck the static testcard picture of the girl with the clown type puppet back on the screens 24/7. Ban music too. That's far too influential for the people of this generation.

Thing is, in the episode, he has a bunch of enthusiasts there and has a chat with them. They're obviously down to Earth and capable of having a laugh about it, why are there so many benders out there that take things too seriously?

Exactly just got a Ding on our new Z4 need to get it repaired 6k miles had it since end of Jan park it as far away from others in car parks etc(idiots still come and park next to you, what's that all about?)

Jezza just needs to do an item featuring DM readers complaining about mindless repetition of ridiculous fabrications. That would be an interesting one.

If, by the way, said 'victim' watched the frankly hilarious Jezza 'Robin' item then surely he should be thanking the doyen of modern motoring for suggesting modifications to minimise the risk of falling over. Though, obviously that won't help if you drive it into a canal.

Well done Jezza for pointing out possible dangers, in a not unlike DM fashion!
