Chaps,
I'll have to change my tyres on the Boxster S soon. I have the 18" Turbo-look wheels. I was hoping to find a comprehensive list of N rated tyres that I can choose from.
I have read the previous posts about N rated tyres and I reckon I'll probably go for a set for the sake of an extra tenner a wheel. Better that than in the event of an accident a smart-arsed insurance underwriter saying I should have gone for N rated rubber.....
I am aware of the Contis, Michelin Pilot Sports and Pirellis, but which other tyres come with an N rated version? I used to love SO2s on my old M3s, are they a possibility? What about Goodyear Eagle F1s?
Thanks.

About once a year Porsche comes out with a list of approved tires. I'm in the US so what is on our list may not apply to the UK market. Perhaps you can get the UK list from your OPC. Jeff

Best talk to Porsches HO technical department, they should have a list of N rated tyres "optimised" for the Boxter, try 0118-9303666.

Thanks. I'm not sure what to buy. The old EVO tyre test rated the Conti highly and I have that tyre on at the moment. But it might be better to have a change. I'll think about it.

I rang Porsche GB in Reading too, and they gave me a full list of available tyres.

I went for Pirellis in the end - after reading reviews in one of the popular magazines (Evo or autocar - cant rmember). Contis didnt do so well in that review - so much for trusting the magazines...

Bracknell Tyres for best price, if they're close to you.

From waht i've heard contisports are prefectly ok, Pilot sports are better. Pirellis are good in the dry but can be interesting in the wet.
