Police Mobile Camera Van watching M1 between J13 and j15

Dear commuters

As a daily driver between Rugby and St Albans I have become aware of a new police vehicle located along the M1 during late afternoon traffic.

A police speed camera van that site over the motorway with cameras fixed on the motorway vehicles. On two occasions van has been seen at site between Junction 13 and up to the bridge just past Newport Pagnell services station.

This vehicle was most defiantly watching the motorway traffic however can’t be sure if it was checking speeds or tax discs.

I can confirm that they are speed camera vans and they are targeting motorists using the M1.

Yep, saw the bds myself as I travelled back to the Midlands from Hitchin. Only consolation was that the traffic was so slow it was impossible to exceed the limit anyway.
