A fair few Mk1's have a bit of rust to varying degrees, but there are a lot of straight ones out there also. Just need to wait and be in the right place at the right time to bag one. Mines considered to be closer to the mint side of things and i noticed some minor bubbling on a tiny section - i just had to get the rear arch lips sorted to stop it spreading. Its leaving it thats the killer.the rest of car is in good condition apart from really faded paint. (red mx5!)

Anyway - to get your sills sorted any decent bodyshop should be able to do this for you and i think in MK there are a couple around. Knight racer i have heard of seem to do a lot of body work? I think the main thing is to ask what sort of repair they propose. Plating over holes is a big no,no. The only way to sort it for any reasonable amount of time is to cut the offending area away, treating the metal properly and put a replacement section in. I think i would be bracing myself for a £400 spanking for a decent job...
If it was me and i had the space and time, and skill i would do it myself and make sure it was done properly. Its the bits you can't see that matter.
Cheers
