Merc deny having no cash left for updates

Contrary to the rumours being printed both in Austria & Germany that Merc have no money left for updates this year a Merc spokesman in Stuttgart has stated that there is enough left for some updates.
Which will annoy Michael Schumacher who was pleading recently that the development work on this year's car should stop & that the cash/effort should go on next year's car.
Merc have yet to comment on the rumour that they are preparing to sell the team to Jacques Villeneuve but as this is because I've only just stared the thing right here it's a little unfair to expect them to be ready with a comment I feel.
& while we are on the subject of Jacques Villeneuve, he has expressed an interest in buying the team just so he can "sack Schumacher".
Allegedly.

I'm sure many people have thought about buying a company (or joining one) just to sack someone. Whether they actually do is another matter.can you imagine the tv special...

Only if he wants to make a car which will be fine for the first 10 laps then seize solid. Nothing that any mechanic can do will make any difference. Even turning the kill switch off then on will not make it wake up. Just as everyone has abandoned any hope of the f

Well, I think you might be on to something here MB. When the Merc car was first developed, it was based on the technology the Japanese had been working on for some time. They rebranded it (first Braun, then Merc), and despite showing initial sucess based off others ideas, they failed to continue developments, and are now behind the curve. Whats more, most of their own ideas (daft intakes, strange wheelbase) haven't really worked.

However, they have marketed things well - shove the Schumi badge on and call it new, hopefully the mugs will still buy into it.
I think "sir" alan sugar would be a perfect frontman to the team. At least Ze germans might force the trampy looking t
t to have a shave for once.haha, i love it when i see brawn mistyped as braun.
i get these great mental images of the motorsport development being done in the room next to hair dryers development. the mind boggles at the opportunity for cross pollination.
brings a whole new take to the "blown diffuser" debate
