I live in a flat and have done for around 10 years.
At a residents meeting last night, leases were brought up in conversation....

The managing agent is saying that when you get close to 80 years in lease length, the property could be difficult to sell..

The lease on my flat states: "99 years less one day from the 24th day of June 1989, which by my calcualtions, is just under 79 years... am I going to have an issues selling?

Yes. Mortgage companies don't like short leases, new owners don't want the expense of extending leases.
