Good. Wish more people would do that in the Uk. I am seeing so much dangerous driving these days.

That is amazing.

Also, it shows what a clean and great forum PH is!

I assume it was the witnesses statement that was enough to convict him - because I could say anything on this forum, but where's the proof? Or is my confession the proof?

I'd be surprised if the kid even did it in the first place.

What an utter plonker! First for actually doing so in a built-up area and, second for bragging about it on an online forum.

After reading that his parents gave an M5 to a 19-year old for doing well in his exams, nothing would surprise me. With genes like that I can quite believe that he did exactly what he said.

Check the news articles. Police officer got statements from witnesses in the area.

Well, have mixed feelings. I was on the M5 Forum one night when a kid came on to discuss shifting SMG in his M5. We thought he was a poser. In fact, he had his father's M5, and he went out immediately after his one night of posting, and he and his three mates died in the crash. It was a very chilling night, that..........here is the thread. Very sobering.

I've just read all of that and it's truly shocking. 500hp cars and 18 year olds are not a good combination.

And people in the US wonder why we Brits won't insure 19 year old kids to drive anything larger than a Moulinex LX.

It is crazy. To think that when i was 17 paying £1k to insure a 998cc fiesta my friend in America who is a year younger than me was allowed to drive a Integra Type R, SC mustang, F150, V8 Jeep or RX7 as part of a family policy costing less than what i paid for myself.

Indeed, I was reading that thread when it was 'live'. Not sure if he was genuine or attention-seeking - then came the 'OMG' moment. Truly shocking.
