GEAR KNOB REMOVABLE

Hi all could someone tell me how to get the gear knob off surely its not a body off to get the gear knob off as I need to re-dye gaiter. Have tried to twist off but seems very tight cannot see any grub screws holding it on? Surely this isn't a TVR stuck on job??

Try one of those rubber strap wrenches it should be screwed on but could be locktited.

its deffo twist.

The spherical knob is threaded on, however, it is locked in position by the turned alloy part underneath which is screwed up to meet it - like a locking nut.

Mine comes off in my hand at every TrackDay - that's my recommendation !

Use a big Plumbers wrench on the top half of the knob, use a piece of rag to protect the alloy.
