Hello anyone - as it says in the title really. I destroyed my 325i track hack at Goodwood earlier in the year and the time has come to take what is left of the car apart and get rid of the rest. Last night I bought a 318is coupe for peanuts and will be using it as my new track hack until my M3 is up and sorted.
I would like to swap as many usable trick parts from the dead dog onto the young pretender but don't want to have a pile of parts from one car sitting amongst another part dismantled car only to find some bits are not compatible due to the saloon/coupe difference if any. Part numbers are obviously not the same but that often doesn't mean much in these cases as we all know.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

If they don't fit I'll buy them for my E36 £999 Challenge car. wink

Thanks very much for the kind offer LK but I have a back up plan already in place. Last week I bought a 325i with a dead motor and had a view to swapping all of the trick parts from the dead car onto it but have always fancied giving the lesser powered 318i with it's more neutral handling traits a trial on track and as one has cropped up for sensible dosh that is where I am at.

I'll be swapping the engine out of my 320 for a 325 if you'd like the 320 engine instead. I was planning to fit a turbo but don't have enough time.

Both cars are on a K plate. The coil overs are cheap as chips yellow bodies with red springs hehe from ebay, don't even know the make I am a little embarrassed to say. They were just under £200 quid and although are a million miles away from a set of Ohlins, they are surprisingly good and noticeably better than standard and of course adjustable (only in height) and fit the bill very well indeed.

Thanks for that. I am picking the car up at the end of next week and am then away for that weekend but when I get back I will have a good look at both cars and asses the situation. I am tempted to see what the 318is is like on track first before I do anything as it is never going to set the world on fire anyhow and the standard suspension might not be as intolerable as anticipated?
