Query for the PH massive. I had a recent alternator failure and the online ordered replacement turned up dead on arrival.
The online supplier gratiously swapped this as soon as practicable picking up the offending DOA part at same time restoring alternator service on my car.
The sub supplier (alternator reconditioner) wants details of my car so they can process this as a warrenty claim. My view it wasnt a warrenty claim as the part was non-functioning on arrival and is there problem to sort not mine. I'm now being badgered by the online supplier to provide info which I'm currently refusing . Small matter probably but I'm sure theres a principle here somewhere and they arent operating within normal online sales governance.
Thoughts?

What sort of information are they asking for?

I can see why you feel the way you do, but as long as you have your alternator working and have paid the right price then why not be as helpful to them as they were to you?(i.e. eventually you got a working one smile )

unless you have a real fear of the information being used wrongly then maybe you would reconsider?

As you said, you now have a working one, so its not as if it means you may lose money because of a refused warrenty claim. (Or have I read your entire post wrong?)
