What makes a car qualify as PH worthy?

Well? what makes a car qualify for the universal affection of the PH masses? Is it the quality of the drive, the character or the performance? What lifts a car to be worthy of approval on here?

Is PH for anything that's a bit 'interesting' or is merely having 4 wheels enough and does leftfield choices count, ie Kia C'eed over a Focus etc?

Just a question when most of the forum seems to hold the humble Landrover with as much affection as the E39 BMW, the number of shed threads and the variety of the readers cars section.

I've come to the conclusion you can have fun in ANY car and I'm not talking about clipping the apex dab of oppo type driving either. A couple of days ago I was driving my 1985 Vanette through mountain roads (complete with a knackered gear selector, completely out of alignment steering, no heater, barely legal tyres and the worst driving position ever) never getting above 100kph and my God was it fun.

If we had a choice we'd all have "PH worthy" sports cars and super saloons but sometimes you have no choice to buy for necessity rather than desire
