hi all,

does anyone know someone who stocks bg44k in scotland....preferably aberdeenshire?? Im looking for someone to flush my car system using it as i believe my audi fsi has start up shudder caused by carbon deposition on the inlet valves. Any ideas?? Already spent a large amount sorting out the timing chain a few months ago:-(

Buy a few tanks of decent super unleaded and take the car out for a decent length of drive for an Italian tune up. That should clear quite alot of the carbon deposits. if that doesnt work then try the chemicals.

Redex does the same thing.. I used to take the plugs out when the engine is hot, pour in redex leave for 15 mins then you need to remove as much as possible by turning the engine over with the plugs out but you need to pop a cloth in the plug hole to collect the redex, change the cloth often as it'll be soaked in seconds.. once there's no more coming out refit plugs and start and drive, it'll be very smokey as it burns off the carbon/redex so best drive down a very quiet road as you'll not be able to see behind you hahahahaha... might even need to tow the car to start it as I have had to on occassion...

not sure if folk still do this or if it's even a good idea as I've not done it in about 12 years so my instructions may be wrong so you'd best check on-line first.. ; )
