Washing the hood?

When washing your 5, what do you do as regards cleaning the hood? I have the good hood cleaner and renovator, but I assumed this was a bit annual thing. So as such, i've not cleaned it. Can usual wash and wax be used?

I sprayed mine with tyre foam cleaner, came up good as new!

If you are using the cleaner & renovator then a couple of times a year is fine. I do mine when the water doesn't bead quite as well. When washing the paintwork I just clean the hood with plain water.

i used autoglym hood cleaner and protector on mine and now just rinse it off when washing the car. i dont wash it with the soaps i use on the bodywork.
