Did 1990 mx5 come with immobilzer?

When did immobilizer became standard fit?

I have an aftermarket immobilzer fitted, I wish to remove it. So i have to make sure it doesnt have factory fitted immoblizer installed in ecu or something?

my 1989 G red eunos, doesn't have an imobiliser and my car seems to have had every option possible at the time.

Mine has an aftermarket one, so would presume they weren't standard on teh older Mk1's, my '97 had one as standard

Not sure but I think all UK cars came with an immobiliser as standard.
