Total amount of winnings spent on cars?

carrying on from the lottery cars thread....

as im very sad and often look at cars i cannot afford, dreaming that one day i will. (as im sure a few of you do)
it got me thinking, how much would my dream collection of CARS cost me.

only using pistonheads and whats for sale at the minute my total comes to an approx of £2.3 million

obviously im very greedy and would have more than i need but just wondering how much u would 'spend'

im sure there will be a few folk who say, ill just have 1 or 2 cars but im talking completly hypothetically, eg if you had £100 billion in the bank

Considering chris evans spent 12million on his ferrari and they can be worth twice that
You can't really put a figure on it
So you could easily spend £20million no problem

If I had £100billion I could see myself spending £1billion on cars. I'd probably buy at least one of every model that came out, just to see if they were any good, along with pretty much anything that slightly took my fancy from history.

Im pretty sure my tastes would change if I had that much money, Im sure things that Im not even aware of are available to the megarich.

I'd have the collection of Minis I want, which would probably be £100K or so.

Then I'd have a TDV8 Rangie, a DBS Volante and an Atom

So £300K tops

If it was a silly win (£50m+) I'd add a Mac F1

So under one and a half bar at the very very outside.

I have thought about this before.
Lots and lots is my answer. So much so that I have always said I would limit myself to 1 car a month.

After the first 5 that is.

the trouble with the plebs is that they have to fly their cars places, obviously that's a pointless exercise and one should have at least a stable of cars at ones principle residences on every continent, it's a bit like having to remember to pack a corkscrew between houses.

true there are mmmany beasts out there that areunknown to many 'normal' folk but im limiting my spending to only what you find in the ph classifieds.....certainly an easy way to waste an afternoon

tongue in cheek I was, but with those kind of resources commissioning bespoke cars is probably an option, and we know the Sultan of Brunei did this many times.

I've always had a plan when it came to this kind of thing, it would be off to the local Porsche dealer, offering a generous (5 figure) bonus to them to get the PDI done there and then to drive away the same day on something like a 911 GT3, then off to somewhere that had a 360 CS in stock, swap the 911 for that and some cash, then off in the CS to a high end estate agent, spend large on a house and then begin to fill the garage(s) up with a variety of Merc, Aston, Noble, Ariel, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Koenigsegg...

I reckon given a lump sum of about £8 million quid, I could do about a quarter of that in the first day or so!

Edited to add - with £100 billion, you could quite possibly buy the entire PH classifieds, from shopping cars to supercars...

That would be quite an epic spend really!

Nope, I could live my life on 20 million quid, couldn't on 200,000.
