M3 Coach crash yesterday Sunday

Did anyone see the coach that crashed through the central crash barrier totally flattening it for a good few yards, and ending up on the opposite side of the road going the wrong way !
I was amazed to see how the barrier "did`nt" do its job keeping the coach on the correct side of the road, pretty scary seeing it, thank good it never hit any cars coming the opposite way.
This was happening around 5.30 pm yesterday Sunday.....

I also saw this, about 5pm. It had gone through the crash barrier from the southbound carriageway (flattening it) into the northbound across all the lanes and into the bank. Amazingly, it didn't look had hit anything coming northbound.

Not sure what time this happened, I'm assuming wasn't top serious as there was only one police Range Rover there and a lot of Highways agency clearing up...

Can't remember what time i passed it heading South but I clocked the Northbound queue at 12 miles and growing.....

Assuming it was an Armco, it's not really designed to do that job. It's the main reason why most Armco's are being swapped for the slip formed concrete items that are being installed in various places.

So next time you're sitting at 49.9mph cursing the SPECS and the roadworks, think of that coach!

i saw the coach sitting on the hard shoulder of northbound carriage facing the wrong way with the central armco flattened as was

didn't see any other wreckage, but find it incredible to believe no northbound cars were involved. I passed at about 6pm i think.

Just shows how vulnerable we all are when those artics and coaches are hurtling towards us on the motorway !

Hence all the new concrete central reservation barriers being built

Tell me about it. I was in it. No clue at all what was happening, no traffic reports on the TMC on the sat nav thingy. Parked on motorway behind a Sunbeam Alpine, which refused to start when the traffic started moving again. We got to the flattened bit of the Armco, but no sign of a coach. Just lots of workmen types trying to fix it.

After seeing it, it really makes me wanna keep to the inside lane forever !!
