where do people go to get their tyres?

Hi guys,

does anyone know of a decent tyre retailer where I can get the best tyres for a good price?

I've noticed that the front two tyres have begun perishing.. The car was sat for a while with the previous owner as he had already got his new car before selling.

My car is a 330ci and I don't want to risk a blowout or anything like that.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

In the past I've had good service from www.etyres.co.uk but not sure they are as competitive as they used to be.

Black circles seem pretty good to me, although it's a franchise so the quality of the individual fitters may vary.

Used Camskill last time and they were very competitive, had them delivered (next day) to my local garage who fitted them.

Don't discount KwikFit. They get a pretty bad press on here, but my local branch in Wandsworth has never been anything short of excellent in my experience. And if you order and pay on-line, in advance, there's some good discounts to be had.

Event mobile fitters if I need some urgently (once ripped the sidewall pulling into driveway at home, called first thing next day, all fitted by lunchtime) or if I'm stuck at work and know I can't get away for a while.

Else blackcircles and arrange fitting through them at a local place.

Well I have a chap I have used for a number of years based in the Leicester area so local for me when I am around and he always gives me a very good price. I generally check against Blackcircles, Camskill and Mytyres etc and as it happens I have had 4 on the Saab this morning. He always gives decent advice on what is applicable for the car, type of driving you do etc and I went for Falken FK452's 225/45w 17's and he did me 4 fully fitted and balanced for £310 which is very competitive.

Camskill, mytyres and blackcircle all seem very similar.

I just need to select the tyre now - will have to speak to some people on what tyres to get. Anyone know of who to speak to regarding this?

Fitting is ok as a good friend runs the local ATS garage and has fitted all my previous tyres etc.

My local independent depot gets me 245/50x16 Kumhos for £80 each and a fellow vette owner imports me my 295/50x16 BFG's for £150 ea..
