"the zero emissions option"

Saw a cyclist wearing a yellow vest with this on the back today in Sheffield - I felt a mixture of entertainment, pity and pure hatred as he looked just SOOOOOO smug. I was walking btw, but need to give some serious thought to the most inefficient vehicle I can find now.
Yes this is a pointless thread, I know.

.
my brother has a similar t-shirt, cant remember what it said, cycles everywhere, rarely ever owns a car..
i have now offset his tiny carbon hoofprint with my S8.
IIRC the sums were done to show that four people car sharing in an average car on an average commute would produce less total C02 including the car, whilst sitting sedentary in the car, than they would if they had all cycled in separately.

If that were true, it'd make my day. Edited by Balmoral Green on Monday 16th August 18:20
It does sound too good to be true, though. edo said:

Anyone know how much CO2 people breath out say average/max?
Breathing produces approximately 2.3 pounds (1 kg) of carbon dioxide per day per person.

Yeah, and how many people do you know who have a four-way lift share? Edited by kambites on Monday 16th August 18:54
