What tyres do you fi to your E36 M3?

Title says it all really. I need to replace the tyres on my car (235,40,17). Any recomendations?

Depends what you're going to do with it i suppose. I have just fitted Falken 452's on the rear of mine, but this is mainly for normal driving and the occasional mad moment, good tyre for the money.
Have had Pilot sports before, they were awesome but very expensive. Have also tried Conti sport contacts, they were OK but wore out really fast.

I'm after a tyre that will last, so I don't mind paying a bit more. I had Toyos on my previous cars, great grip, but lasted 5000 miles!

PS2 the ultimate IMO. Toyo T1R a good compromise.

245 surely? Or do you have aftermarket wheels?

235/40/17 all round on a 3.0 M3 with strandard 7.5" rims

225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear are standard fitment on a 3.2 M3 with staggered (7.5" & 8.5") rims.

Sorry, forgot to say I run Goodyear Eagle F1's, not sure about longevity as the car only gets used at weekend, but grip and steering feel are good.

The Vredestein Ultracs Sessantas get rave reviews. They seem to be pretty good value too.

Not had them on an M3, but Falken 452's are a good tyre as already stated.

Suffer less side wall flex that the Toyos from my experience, although some versions of the T1-R come with a reinforced sidewall so that might fix the problem.

I'm going to need some rears for my M3 Evo before the winter sets in properly. Currently running Pirelli P-Zeros on the rear (on the car when I bought it) and Hankook V12s on the front. I must say I didn't expect much from the Hankooks but the steering feel is great, especially for the price.

Camskill are the best for delivered, but once you take into account fitting etc, Elite aren't that much dearer...

Elite prices fitted are good, but a bit of a trek for me. I've ordered them from Camskill, £70 each, not bad.

I have N1 spec Michelins on my Boxster and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetricos on the M3 Evo in standard sizes.

I have to say that I am shocked at how good the Eagles gripe, partic on a car with 320 bhp and no traction control. When I got the car it had new Dunlop SP 9000s on the rear and it spun up really easily - now its actually pretty difficult to spin up the wheels.
