Morning all, the water pump went on my 328 Cab the other week and I will finally get round to replacing it this Weekend. I also thought that I would replace the thermostat and hoses at the same time.
Now the question is, I have seen in various guides that a special fan removal tool is required, do I really need one or is there another way of doing this? If not, any ideas where to get the tool from?
Any helpful tips / tricks welcome as I am sure that I am not the first person on this forum to tackle this job.
Thanks

I'm guessing the tool you need is one of these:

used mine on both my E30 and E34 radiator fans - remember you have to turn it the opposite way from a normal thread!
