'Salt' in the West End

Does anyone know why 'Salt', the new Angelina Jolie film out this week, isn't showing in either of the two main cinemas in the West End (the large Odeon, or the Empire) when it opens on Friday this week?

Seems even stranger considering the premiere was at Empire last night....

Dunno, but I saw it in the USA a couple of weeks ago, and kinda enjoyed it.

7/10 for me, but a bit silly in places.

Maybe it's not the salt of film they want to show.

Maybe Angelina Jolie is so over-rated, she should have her own OR rating....

Just back from seeing this tonight (not in the West End though!)

Was ok. Just ok. Nothing special, certainly not a film i'd ever watch again on DVD or on TV.

Bit unbelieveable in places, amazing how she has so many people coming at her with guns and she emerges almost unscathed. Jumping from bridges to trucks, trucks to other trucks, shooting at tankers (which she is on) - bullets miss her but don't seem to hit the tanker either.

That sequence takes up about 30 seconds of the film and in terms of the plot is completely unimportant. I was careful not to include any information integral to the plot.

But yes, I wouldnt bother going to see it. Maybe worth £3.95 on Sky box office in a few months time, not worth £9-10 + the effort to go see it at the cinema.

I quite enjoyed it, to be honest! 7/10

Not a great film, but not bad at all! Shades of 'No Way Out' crossed with one of the later 'Bourne' films - but obviously not as brilliant as either.

Worth watching at the cinema though.
