I'm trying to collate a 'Top 10' list in terms of popularity, watches can be any manufacturer but ideally interested in £1K and above.
Who wants to kick off?

What constitutes "most popular"? The watch people most want to own? Or do actually own?

If you're talking models, then the Rolex Submariner, Omega Seamaster and Omega Speedmaster will definitely be featuring!

- Seiko Monster ( MX5 of watch recommendations! )
- Rolex Sub
- Seiko 5
- Casio G Shock
- Sinn
- Christopher Ward



Ok, I just started falling into brands a little then.. ! I have a Tag Carerra, but it doesn't seem that popular on here..

Rolex, Omega, Breitling and TAG would probably be the only ones in most 'popular' £1K + watches (if most popular is based on sales). IMHO (albeit I have probably forgotten a make in that list...).

Brands or models is the right idea. A mix of which sell the best and which are most aspired to, that sort of thing...

OK, I get your point - this is turning into an existing thread but I'm trying to get an idea of what people think are the popular models. I guess the question is extremely open ended, just after some opinion (perhaps a few hundred!).
Put it this way, if you were to buy 10 watches for your collection...unfortunately the stats I'm after require subjective input.

well Rolex are the most popular luxury brand out there, with sales well over a million a year

Omega, Breitling are probably next in volume of the big names

im sure all the brand popularity figures are out there somewhere on some watch website if you google

I'm not sure I understand the criteria but my UK ten most popular watches over £1,000 would be,

Rolex Daytona
Omega Seamaster
Rolex Submariner
Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Omega Speedmaster
Tag Heuer Carrera
Tag Heuer Monaco
Panerai Luminor Marina
Breitling Navitimer
IWC Pilot's Chronograph

In terms of sales I expect it is 10 from Rolex/Breitling/Tag Heuer/Omega as they make far more (in volume terms) watches over a grand than anyone else.

I'd guess its four Rolexes and two from each of the others.

1- Rolex Milgaus - Green Glass

Rest are in no particular order

2- Omega Planet Ocean - Orange Bezel
3- Omega Speedmaster - Moon to Mars Edition
4- Zenith El Primeo Vintage Chronograph (not sure exact model but know the style I like)
5- Omega Baby Plopoff
6- IWC Ingenieur
7- Junghans Olympic
8- Tag Heuer Monza - White Dial
9- Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
10- Oris Big Crown (slightly under a £1k)
