How much are you looking to spend, and what's your budget for running costs? Even with the DRC replaced with "normal" suspension on the RS6, it's still going to be a very expensive car to run.

If you are referring to the circa 2003 RS6 (and similarly the newer RS4) they are great cars, fabulous engines, but as above issues with suspension leaks caused almost all to be fixed at one point or another..

As above, totally depends on your situation. All are superb cars though.

Also, most of the suspension issues have been sorted.

Get the 3.0 Tdi in the A4 or the A6 version with the sports suspension.

I'm thinking about an £8k S4 as the dd but potential costs scare me off. A newer/lower miles Impreza maybe a safer bet but obviously has no imagine.

What didn't / what didn't twice would be more to the point, however the gearbox and diff were still original when I wrote it off.

The details are in my profile, looking at the bills that were over £500 would probably be a good start for laughs.

That being said, I know from the owners forum that my story wasn't 'typical' however the S3 was not a cheap car to own / run for anyone.
