Watched the Ladykillers (the original one) over the weekend.

Can anybody tell me what the car is that they use in the robbery - it looks like a large black american hearse but it is RHD.

Don't think the OP meant the Studebaker, but the larger car (Packard, Hudson?).

Is it only me, but every time I see this film it surprises me that it's in colour - it cries out for moody black and white?

Yeah, I misread his post.

Agreed on the B&W, but it is very muted colourwise.
