out colour of engine oil normal??

Hi...friend had his car serviced about 4 months ago.
farily normal driving - long and short journeys.
It's a diesal (merc 3.2).

Woudl it be normal for the oil to be blackish already?
It doesnt stay clear for long?

I guess if i checked it more regularly i woudl know!

Yes, perfectly normal for it to go black pretty quickly, even more so with diesels I'm led to believe.

Diesels will make their engine oil go black almost straight away once they're started. Absolutely normal.
