How much to hire a track?

That's it really. If I were to hire a track what would the costs be?
Norfolk would be best, I heard a rumour that Snett was £3000 for the day, but I have no idea about that. Would that include any sort of insurance?
It wouldn't be for running a public track day. It would be a private non-profit affair for my motor club only.

Goodwood used to publish their track hire costs, and even if they don't I'm sure a quick phone call would reveal it. Plenty of circuits are used for duathlon, roller skating and that sort of thing, so it's not as expensive as you'd think (£2k or £3k rings a bell). If you're driving on the track you'll need marshalls and safety vehicles, and circuits offer that as an extra on top of the track hire costs. I've forgotten the Goodwood hire costs now, but I remember thinking how cheap it was and that I'd only need about fifteen friends to attend before it became cheaper than a track day, which is understandable if you're avoiding the administration costs and profit of a trackday company.
