Anyone here a referee?

In my quest to get my lardy arse moving again, I've been looking at the possibility of becoming a football referee - nothing too exciting - Saturday and Sunday league stuff - just to help me on the road to fitness.

Is anyone on here a ref and can they give me any pointers to look out for? I've has a look on the FA website so know about the process of how refs are recruited, but has anyone got any real life experiences of reffing SUnday league fixtures? I've heard some unpleasant tales...

Can think of much better ways to move a lardy arse than running around on a frosty february morning dog poo'ed park taking abuse from spotty teenage vinnie jones wannabe's

A guy I used to drink with is a football ref.

If you find playing football too tiring, it isn't for you.

I would just play football if you are wanting to get fit, not be a ref.
