any 1 had problems with kumho tyers

as title says . had rear kumhos on my bmw e46 . went out for the day about 1 month after having them fited . the car started shacking at the rear , looked at them wen 1 got to the place i was going which was aprox 50 miles from my house . and saw that the inner wall of the tyer had blistered . nearly all the way round both rear tyers .got home safely . took the car back to place where they fitted them. they said that the tyer walls have failed . then they said that i had run the tyres flat that why the side wall had failed . they are tring to charge me for new tyers . and the tyers where never run flat . has any 1 had any problemslike this . have read a bit on the net and there has been some problems . but would like some info myself . please help . thanx
I had some failure on the sidewalls of my Khumo winter tyres last year. But after some 5k miles.
Tyre place said they looked suspect, could have had a clout in the potholes we had last in winter, but said they looked like they may be faulty and would send them back for analysis. However, they stupidly then accidently skipped them! !
So I was £260 out of pocket with no evidence now!
So they are doing me free fitting on all tyres for the next 4 years!!

the tyre company iv,e been using them for 20 years and its next door to my work . cud say that we where mates so i thought . they do all the checks . tyres where knacked after i got home . and the tyre company let me drive round for a few days after untill they had time to look ,an other problem 1 of the tyres ended up with a nail in it . the company showed it to my a week after they where changed. can under stand it if that tyre failed cause of that but they both failed. never seen bulges as bad . me and the wife where lucky they didn,t blow on us . been told even small drop in pressure shouldn,t do that damage to a tyre .i go nurburge ring every year all ways lower pressure before i go on the track .never had any problems there .

You've had at least one puncture so that tyre might well have been driven under-inflated. This knackers sidewalls pretty quickly.
If the damage is identical between the two tyres it sounds a lot like the same problem in both. Probably under-inflation.
The only tyre I've ever had that sort of trouble with was when the other half drove on a punctured tyre and destroyed the sidewalls oaf a tyre which would have been perfectly repairable.

correct tyre for the car. the pressure was check .when i took the car back to tyre company they had 28 psi in them with the side walls blistered nearly all the way round the tyres . the tyres had 32 psi wen they where fitted and checked .that should not have done that amount of damage to the tyre .wot i am saying is that the side wall delamainated . the tyre company say that ive run the tyres flat to do the damage which i didn,t .the tyres were only on for a month . done aprox 200 miles at the most .and the tyre company took a few days to sort new tyres out .they kept put me off looking at the tyres for a few days as the company is next door to my workshop. i was goin to and from work in the car for them to have a look . they are just blaming me for the damage and not takin any resposibility then selfs. another thing this happened 7 months ago . they havn,t even sent the tyres back to supliers . but still tring to make me pay for them .

Cheap does not always mean rubbish.Falken tyres give awesome performance, just as good or better than many premium brands.
I specced my brand new car with Falkens instead of Michelins.

Some Kumhos (KU31 IIRC) are quite popular with MX5 and Elise owners.

Just for your reference Audi, Chrysley, Mazda, Mercedes, VW and many more now fit Kumho tyres as original equipment. They are not "cheap tyres"...
