Got new job at well known company near Woking

Hi All,

just found out today that i have got a new job at well known company near Woking
now looking to find somewhere reasonable to stay during the week, but not every week as away some weeks

any ideas or suggestions welcomed

Having worked there myself and I am guessing the nature of what you are doing (having done it myself) it may be worth see if you can speak to your team leader/manager for some idea or contacts as lots of the boys there do have local digs which there use a temporary base to their "proper" homes.

If you drop me a PM I might be able to give you an idea who to contact.

I know a few guys who stayed at campsites whilst working there during summers! The rates for hotels etc is ridiculous really, as above your best of getting in contact with some guys already there and I'm sure someone will have a room going.

Congratulations though. It's really a love it or hate it type of place!

How do you all know what company this is? I lived in Woking for 3 years, and don't live far from there now, and I haven't a clue!

As a stab in the dark I would say it's a well known F1 related company and as a PHer you should hang your head in shame for not knowing you live near it.

It may well be, but whenever people start a thread on here saying "how do I get a job in motorsport", I've yet to see an answer saying "call McLaren, they've got summer jobs by the bucket load".

The OP recently started a topic stating he was looking for employment and had previous experience putting race engines together. I'm no mathematician, but I can put two simple numbers together.
