Brake confusion

Currently have new discs for the front of the car to go with my bells that I had acquired a while ago. The car originally had the 322mm x 30mm discs on it. I sent everything to BG developments to get refurbished and identify new suitable discs etc. They suggested a 330mm x 32mm disc, unfortunately they do not fit and look way to big for the calliper and even a bit of filing of the calliper would not allow clearance. So back to the drawing board and it appears from looking through old posts that most people fit 330mm x 28mm to go with the bells.
However after trawling through old posts last night it appears that to do this I should have the 6 bolt variety of calliper whereas I have the 4 bolt version, What is even more confusing is that it appears the 4 bolt version should not even have been big enough for the 322mm x 30mm disc, however the car has had these on for several years without any issue.
Can anyone shed any light on this and tell me what size discs my 4 bolt CP5200 callipers should fit?

Upto 310mm i believe, i got hold of some 322mm when i had the old 4 bolt ones, and they didnt go. I have 343mm x 32mm under my 6 bolt calipers, but i had to shave the corners of the calipers slightly.
Cheers Brummie, I have spoken to AP and those callipers are actually designed for 304mm x 32mm so know idea how the 322mm discs fitted all this time but they did. Maybe thge tips of the calliper have been shaved which is not in itself a problem according to AP and BG. So the new route forwards maybe getting later style CP5200 Callipers which are desingned for 330mm x 32mm disc, AP still sell these new, but will not have the TVR logo.
Next issue I forsee though is the proximity of the disc to the lower wishbone and bottom ball joint. We have ground down the bottom ball joint so it is flush with the rounded end of the wishbone but still have next to no clearance, any flexing of the hub or expansion in the disc would see it touch, how much clearance do you have here Brummie? AP recommend 4-5mm which even the original 30mm discs nowhere near acheived.

The only reason I can see that you would not have had to do this is if the larger discs you have actually have a bigger diamater opening and the wishbone and ball joint actually sit in the opening instead of against the face of the disc if you understand what I mean.
