My old house is up for rent!

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/proper...

I miss it frown It was up for sale for ages but I'm guessing they decided to rent it out instead. They've replaced our home made driveway with a proper one too!

That looks gorgeous, love that drive & garage.

All you need is a few of us PH'ers sharing the rent, just IMAGINE what that drive will look like then!

Dude, everytime I imagine it it causes a little incident in my trousers.

  • sigh* Lived there from '94 till my family all fell out in 2001. So many memories.
Interestingly, when we bought it in 94 it only cost us £265k. It did need a lot of work though (it had 4 bedrooms, the entire upstairs floor was a games room!).

It was an amazing place to grow up - we managed to host a party with over 200 people there once - course we didn't have a cleaner or a gardner...

I think you're onto something here - though I think the most people I could rope in would be 5 and that's including me and the OH frown

One thing you'd have to do though is draw lots for the rooms - or else you end up like I am at the moment with the tiny room at each house because you're too slow getting there... Plus with only 3 doubles that leaves room for only 3 couples - though to be honest all bar 2 of the singles are easily big enough to count as a double room anywhere else... Indeed they're all bigger than my current room!

The garage will fit two cars as well don't forget wink

If I win the lottery tomorrow, I'm buying it whatever it takes - it can be the new PH Clubhouse.

ETA - just found another advert with all the room sizes and stuff - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/proper... - it's huge! Bedroom 8 was my old room... frown

Bah! Enough of you lot live close together anyway! hehe Just rope in all the PH'ers which are single. Share the rent, more money to induldge in cars then & a drive big enough for about 10 cars at least! Keep the garage as a workshop for any cars that need a bit of work done to them.

Bingo. Thats that planned.

Just need the money now, & the house to be moved 50 miles North East nearer to where I work.

Actually, according to my OH (who is knowledgable about these things0 most of the singles are big enough to be living rooms themselves... Indeed my old room could apparently easily be a double.

Simples!

Just stick it on this (the yanks should be selling them off cheap soon) and we can drive it around to wherever it needs to be - maybe near your work in the morning and mine in the evening!

Why would parking be an issue with that? Its not like anyone / anything is gonna be able to stop you. Nice house though mate.

Damn that's a nice house. Mum won't look at our old house (left in 2008) if she pass, we practically rebuilt it in the 15yrs we were there, hadn't been lived in for years before hand! Now it it looks a bit of a mess, garden is just green, no colour, the drive is a mess of weeds and the grass along the fence has all turned to mess, the patios gone manky and the white wall that surrounded the patio/pergola area desperately needs re-painting...

PH houseshare there would be epic, cool beers and a BBQ in the summer sun with bikini-clad babes by the pool... And with a drive like that! Burglars wet dream though surely?

We never had a problem with burglers when we were there - my £20 pushbike was nicked from the garage once but that was it. None of the tools or anything like that were taken - generally apart from the small hours someone was always up and about and since the doors and windows were so thick, you'd make a lot of noise trying to get in tongue out

I'm really glad they didn't ruin it actually - the people before us had left it a right mess!

Ok. May as well make this a challenge! Someone find a house which won't be a burglars paradise but which is ideal for a bunch of PH'ers. The bigger the garage, the better thumbup

We need mountains! The views, the roads, the space, the lack of neighbors to wake with multiple exhausts singing their songs!

I own a house.. Have two lodgers who are always late with rent.

Shall we sell up, move slightly out of Surrey as its too damn expensive for a 20 year old to live, buy a house and rent with PH'ers.

Excellent idea.
