I will have in the next week or so my nice 535d Touring 56 plate up for sale (push button start) with 50k on the clock, but most importantly it has the Full BMW Warranty still running. Its Silver with Black leather

Are you sure ? I understood pre LCi cars didnt bar some 2006 models which hence why our friend has highlighted this fact (BTW I to own a 2006 car and would also highlight the push button start / and the updated i-drive wheel and one or two other updates applied in 2006 !!)
from memory I tested a 54 IIRC reg 535d with comfort electric seats and that had start buttonI see the new F10 535d MSport Touring is available from 18th September.
I'd imagine prices of the E60/E61 535d MSport Touring will begin to soften when there are demonstrator models of the new model in the showrooms.
Hopefully once that happens it'll reduce the price of some of the cars in the market. (I'm sure there will be current owners wanting to upgrade to the new model increasing supply).
Might just have to sit tight

Clearly not. Even one in the second post down doesnt. Check the picture. Afaik it was only 06+ cars that it became the norm on.
Both of the cars in that post have a button. You can see a key in the steering column, that needs to happen. They are not keyless in this instance.
(and I own an 07 535d

I think if you check your anoraks guide to the 535d the push button start was introduced with the 06 model.( it may be across the board on the 5 series but as I do not have first hand experience of this I will state what I know with fear of being branded a fibber)

Not sure the prices will soften too much, I think they are great value and there is a reason they cost more than the 530d its such an imense all rounder.
I work next to BMW HQ in Bracknell and saw the new Touring (I think it had an M Sport kit and the badges where all covered) but it looked brilliant, again I think BMW have made the Tourning so much better looking than the saloon.
