No Wonder Dealers Aren't Selling Cars

I'm looking for a car around £3k and getting desperate so called 6 dealers this morning at 9.15ish about cars they'd advertised.

Not one answered the phone.

I left a simple message and my tel. no. - left slowly and repeated it.

Its now gone 4pm and guess how many have called me back ?

Not one !

I've got cash burning a hole in my pocket and no one seems to want it.

Why not go to the dealers and have look around unless you have a specific make and model in mind.

Theres always some other muppet that prepared to pay more for the car than you around the corner.. the dealer doesnt need to phone you back because if he waits long enough that guy will just walk in off the street and slap the cash down.

Its a crappy deal, but if you go into it knowing the dealer doesn't care about you or keeping your business then you'll be less disapointed.

I am looking for a specific model

Mk2 Galaxy 2.3 petrol

So hardly a car that flies out the yard, one dealer has been advertising the same car for 2 months.

The dealers are 35 - 80 miles away so I'm not driving around all day on the off chance they still have one.

Yes shocking, however that’s what VW apparently charge for a decent spec GTI or Golf R these days (ETA want something relatively small, all the big car toys and nippy . . . . . .without it looking like a Focus RS) . . . . . . . . . . . or it would be if VW actually wanted to sell one to me

I find the sales team at my local VW dealer useful but the service team are st. Last time mine went in for a service I had to call them to find out that the car was ready for collection then when I came to collect it they seemed shocked that I wanted it.

I have to go back there soon as half the interior trim isn't clipped down properly and can't push the stuff back on, I'm just glad it's a company car so I don't have to pay them.

I'm looking at either a Honda or a Toyota next as I'm fed up dealing with them, tis a shame as I really fancied getting the Polo GTI next.
