GAME - Bunch of useless planks

Decided i fancy playing through Gears of War 2 again, figured i'd pick up a second hand copy from game as i was there and it was only a tenner.

Get it home and open the box, oh joy, Looks like someone has cleaned it with some wet and dry. Only without the Wet bit!! Now i have to go back tomorrow to change it, sorry to get my money back, Game really are a bunch of overcharging useless gits.

And you didn't think to check it before you left the shop? I ALWAYS check any game I buy that's pre-owned.

Now, if you'd rented it from blockbuster, I could understand it!

I can sympathise Graham: went in to my local GAME branch last week to purchase Race Pro (360), they had 3 game cases on the pre-owned shelf. Took to the counter for the guy to spend 10 minutes rummaging through drawers and walking in and out of the store rooms to tell me they had "mislaid their copies". Well why the hell were they on the shelf then...?

They seal the boxes, I was in a rush on my lunchbreak and also they have been really anal with me years ago when trading in games about tiny scratches etc....

Guess I figured it would be ok. Game seems to work but not going to chance it! Money back tomorrow!

It's just frustrating and could simply have been avoided if the guy behind the counter had a braincell!

have you tried it?

if the marks are fine, they might be from a "scratch remover"

a frined bought one from a small rentla shop that upgraded. it basically cuts a thin layer off the disc to make the scratches shallower/gone, looks like very uniform swirl marks.

I bought a pre-owned MW2 for £20, the Game worker gave me a brand new copy

Never buy PC games from there any more.

Years back picked up a game, should have run without an issue on my PC but it suffered from so many problems it hardly installed!

Took it back and the guy couldnt grasp the concept that PC's might be a little different to a console and I had a right battle on my hands to get my money back or exchange it.

I always use them and never had a problem, you should check your disks if your going to buy preowned though.
