Young Driver Insurance

Hey, Has anyone got a clue how to reduce the cost of insurance for a 17 yr old who has just passed his test. The best i have found is £3000.
One way is to lie and say that I own the car and am the main driver and he is the additional driver.

Get a kit car and kit car insurance.

Other ways, don't use it to commute, immobilised, garaged... The usual

Having this trouble too, at the moment £1600 on my 107 but want a smart car and best ive found is £2600!
No way round it!
