So, I've almost got my apprenticeship sorted in IT. I went today to sort out the majority of details and after sending my CV in tomorrow to the Agency they will put my forward to a local college and hopefully onto an interview.
I am quietly confident I am one of the stronger candidates for the role.

Now, I am left with a small problem as to whom could be backing me for this role. I have no doubt that the Agency are going to be able to find someone for me, but I don't want to be in a situation where I could end up being tied to a company I don't like the look of, even if it's for an extra year.

I proposed that I try and source my own 'backing' (anyone fancy it?) so am drafting a letter now to show that I am interested and want to have a good crack in this industry. My questions are basically how should I approach companies really. I'm sturggling to not start the letter by sounding like I want to take their money and get trained then ps off somewhere - especially as I am completely unknown to them.

The Agency would be willing to do most of the legwork, so I just need to try and gather some contact details to people of importance instead of some prat in customer services that doesnt know his arse from his face, although I'm sure not all are like this..

Sorry for the long post, I tried to cover most of my points here. Thanks for the help. I don't expect you to word this for me, I just need a bit of help from the PH gurus!
