We recorded the first two episodes of The Deep and watched them before last night's episode.

The script was full of plot holes, the dialogue dreadful and the acting did both justice. The set could have been anthing, anything but a submarine that is.

I had recently watched a six episode BBC drama series that I found to be thoroughly entertaining. The Deep is dire.

I lasted one and a half episodes and, despite my impressions of the first half hour, I found it could get worse.

This. The Sky box is just the medium, isn't it? It's like blaming the council because you drive a shıt car...

Absolutely

Additionally, I blame Pistonheads for wasting my time reading this thread.....

If you'd spotted the earlier thread on it, you wouldn't have bothered.

I think, by your logic, that means PH is worth every penny.

I ignored it as I thought there would be spoiilers. I didn't realise the scriptwriters were the real spoilers.

It's great given the random and ungodly hours that they tend to put decent motorsport programs on. Also good for recording decent stuff while the wife is watching Eastenders or some weepy movie or frilly collar play bks.

I can see your point a bit. I've recorded a few tv shows I wouldn't have bothered to watch live.

But overall Sky + (or in my case V+) is one of the best things to come along for a long time.

Shirly this is a "guns aren't dangerous, people are" argument?

Sky+ is one of the most magnificent inventions the face of the world has ever seen. I have it up there with the blast furnace and the boobs

You've got my deepest sympathy, I hide the sky + remote when I'm on nights so her indoors has to watch sky (non +) in the bedroom - result, no crap clogging up the hard drive. wink
