Right, im doing a serious mod, which involves grafting the rear of an MX5 into a '79 mini.
I want to put minilight wheels on, which have a PCD of 4x4" (4x101.6) (not sure about the centre bore)
anyway, the MX5 is 4x100mm, SO close but not quite.

Is there a well known way to easily alter the hubs to be 101.6mm??

i'll need to do the disks too i suppose

i suppose a re-drilling is in order, but where to get new studs from..

Drill them 45 degrees opposed,

Should be able to get studs from Mazda or Mini specialists depends on which you need, or use the old ones they should just bash out.

Well then you need to find out, if the bore is different, and if there is nothing you can do about it, then the plan will not work

Funny I'm doing the reverse, converting my new front mini hubs to 100mm. Mini Studs are smaller than MX5. So easy for me do mill them out with a different offset, but not so for you. How about welding them up and re drilling ?? My old Dutton had the rear half shafts done that way...

Not sure if this will help.....

Quite a lot of VW owners (mainly older Golf & Polo) fit Mini wheels by drilling out the 4 bolt holes slightly & using "wobble" bolts

these sort of bolts
