Very close to being revealed according to this:
http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Showbiz-News/The-...

Would it ruin it for you who it actually is? I still think it is more than one anyhow.

(Not sure if this should be in General Gassing? )

I am already 99% sure of who it is already. (At least the main Stig anyway)

If he does publish, then they will just get another driver as before.

Sorry which Stig?
The original who raced as stig and took the name with him to NZ?
The Black Stig who outed himself and was sacked?
Or one of the several drivers who have worn the white suit?

Julian Bailey's wife Deborah Tee is a writer and comes from a family of publishers. Julian is also a close friend of the ex Stig Perry McCarthy. Ben Collins has also been the Stig; because he told me!

First Stig was Perry McCarthy, then it was Ben Collins.

I thought everyone knew this?

Has it changed again?

I did not see that banghead Then again, to be fair, what section should it be in? GG, News or TV?

Perhaps this should be locked and the other moved?

Move a thread about Top Gear out of TV/film and into News, Politics and Economics?

Who'd be a mod smash

Some clown doing an obscure coverage of the Le Mans classic on Motors TV, just came right out and said it on TV a couple of weeks ago.

"Oh and this race youre going to be partnering Ben Collins, who of course is the Stig..."

The driver says "Errr...are we supposed to say that?"

"Oh think its pretty common knowledge now."

Helpful.

that fellow has gone very quiet, on his Twitter he said he was moving house! He must have a large private income as he does not work.

Maybe mummies got him a place in a sheltered housing scheme . . . . . . . . . . which will no doubt be paid for by the tax payer as he IS in receipt of benefits hehe

Unlike a lot of people I still enjoy Top Gear despite its obvious shortcomings, but the whoe Stig 'thing' has been bloody tiresome for ages now, amusing for a while definately, but it's so far past its sell by date I cringe everytime they launch into the 'Some say.........' routine.

Perhaps they should publicly unmask him in some kind of track shootout with other racing drivers, especially since Barichello bested his time.
