Replacing the belt on a tumble dryer
Discussion
Right.
The belt on my tumble dryer has broken.
I'm surprised how narrow it is, considering the size of the drum.
Anyway - can anyone advise whether replacing it is a relatively straightforward job, or am I likely to end up causing more damage?
I'm inherently tight-fisted, so would perefer not to pay someone to do it.
Thanks.

Had to do this a while, it was a PITA requiring much of the thing to be taken apart, when i put it back together again i didn't put a wee bearing thing that the drum spins on back in place right and after a few weeks of use it ground the peg on the back of the drum away. Still haven't got round to fixing it again.
To sum up - easily diyable but requires patience.

did mine on my first tumble drier myself
about 3 years later a bearing went on one of the tensioner pulleys ,took the back off for a look and found my missing torch
