what's it like, what age of children is it aimed at, is it worth the entry price, are the camping fields any good, how early do you have to buy tickets as I only found out about the 2010 a few weeks before the date and it was sold out?

We took our four year old and a six month old. There was plenty for the four year old to do and he enjoyed it, although older children will undoubtedly get more out of it. The atmosphere is excellent and you felt 'safe' at all times, as it’s mostly all families. The toilets are mostly chemical ones, but they are attended, emptied frequently and kept in a fair state. The showers (paid) were insufficient and very busy. The amount adults get out of it is obviously dependent on the age of the children you have with you and their ability to 'keep going'. The festival is small so there's not much walking. Loads of food and the real ale tent was excellent. We were very lucky in being able to park very close to where we pitched our tent, I think this year you could pay extra to park in a better located area. We bought our tickets in the spring time, didn’t go this year but would go again.

I guess really just some confirmation that we will have a good time really!

The kids will be 4 and 5 when we go and i brought the tickets for next year on a bit of a whim really without knowing anything about it.

I guess im just after knowledge that fun will be had by all!

What time does the last music go on till?

Are buggys a good idea or will they hinder us? (i know mine will be big for buggies but im thinking fo night time and when they drop off)

It does seem pretty cynical, though not completely in a bad way.

It's all set up to have a good time, the rest is up to you. We went with two other couples who had kids and that certainly helped. IIRC it seems to start winding down at 12 am. We were in a designated family area and it was quite amazing how quiet things were after this time. There were certainly alot of sprogs sleeping through music in their buggies, but alot were still partying with their parents. There's nothing about the site that isn't buggy friendly.
