Vernier pulleys on sport 160

Will have to change timing belt soon, was thinking about fitting vernier pulleys at the same time. Anyone got any experience? What do they need to be set to? Car is 160 SVA. Do you think the advantages are worth the outlay? Also, is a piper or similar belt any better than a standard belt, I don't know if there have been any instances of failures on the standard belt. probably not worth the effort unless you have changed other stuff around it (like ECU, Exhaust system, Cams, etc)
