Is this pearly orange colour one of the range available for the recent Lamborghinis or is the standard orange different? Would anyone know what it's paint application process is - 2 pack, etc?
Thanks!

3 Stage Pearl called "Arancio Borealis" is a standard (expensive option) from lambo Factory.

Thanks Matt, for your swift reply! "from Lambo factory" may mean not available over the counter i guess - do you know?

Due to the age of that Murcie, being a pre-LP, the colour is actually Arancio Atlas. It was Borealis on the later Gallardos etc.

Thanks for correction.

za - My car is the newer Arancio Borealis and it must be available over the counter, as I currently have a bumper being done by a local bodyshop who can do the colour based on the paint code no problem at all.

The codes are here:

http://www.lambocars.com/pnt/ppg.htm and Arancio Atlas plus Arancio Borealis are both on the table.

Hope this helps!

Mosi - this is a shot from the Wilton convoy/show last saturday..i'm afraid this beast had many rivals for best look on the day, but i've been on the hunt for a deep, 'strange' orange shade for a while and your's(?), and i guess Matt's, stood out!

Be prepared for the cost - a litre of Arancio Atlas is between £150 and £200

Are you sure about that price as I use PPG paints all the time and have never paid that much. OK it may be a Lambo paint colour but its just a standard PPG pearl paint?

Pretty sure it cannot cost that much per litre based on what I am paying for a bumper and bonnet spray.

That is what lambo dealers etc like to tell you.

It's nowhere near that amount.

Hello Mate. As much as I fully appreciate all things Lambo/Gallardo, it's still Viper first for me, so it's a possible respray sometime...if i can keep the Viper off the road long enough to save for it! How's life apres SRT? wink

It'll be water based paint these days.

Any bodyshop can supply - they'll just need a paint code.

Maybe upto £200 per litre if sourced through Lamborghini but I'd expect it to be half that (retail) is sourced through Glasurit, Du Pont etc.

Amazing colour!
