Started off as a £300 eBay purchase looking like this:
A good clean and polish, 2nd hand interior fitted, wheels replaced by ones which are round and not painted with hammerite, plus an induction kit and Longlife stainless exhaust gets you this:
Final jobs were..... Bilstein suspension kit, Momo steering wheel and Cobra seat:
Now, it does this:

Forgot to include the engine mods....... bigger throttle body and Punto 75 cam, which gives a much better torque curve and slightly higher power.
No idea what it's putting out - but it's quicker than standard.

I loved working on it and it was such a simple car to work on. Also, as far as the cage goes, they're relatively easy to fit. I had an OMP 8 Point jobbie and it was only a days work to get all the welding done and get it painted. I had so much fun with it on track, mine was around 85BHP but it could've done with and handled a fair bit more.
Believe it or not, it was an MX5 killer and TVR frightener in the wet!!!

Yes, I'm a member of Clubcento - for the 2nd time - I was a member way back in 1998 when the club was just starting out, too.
Yours was a tad more modded than mine is.... I don't want to do too much else until I blow the engine, though.
Not 100% happy with the suspension - but the super low spring kits you could get when I had my first one are no longer around - I went -5cm with my first one, this one is -4cm - but it may still need some more miles to settle in.
I have a couple of chips for it, but neither of them work - due to the immobiliser, I can't say if the 2nd hand ECU I bought is faulty or not, though - but I don't think a chip will make *that* much difference.
