I have some company graphics (and viper style stripes) on a yellow 2005 R50 Mini...

I will inevitably sell the car at some point in the next few years and so will have to remove the company graphics. Was just wondering if anyone has ever removed stripes before? Will there be a visible difference in shade where the graphics were? Car is liquid yellow, 5 years old, kept outdoors.

You sometimes see ex-RAC/AA vans and even though the decals have been taken of its still very obvious where they were. frown

Any comments / past experiences welcome. Thanks smile

Depends how well you have protected exposed paintwork in the first place. Yellow will fade over time in bright sun so if you haven't regularly polished and protected the paintwork the colour under the stripes will appear darker/brighter when you remove the graphics.

It can be professionally mopped or T cutted back and shouldn't be too bad.

If its bad when you take it off and you can't polish it outside yourself get in a professional detailer who will do some paint correction work and a full valet for you on the entire car before you sell it. It will be well worth the money to help you sell on at best price

The mini paint is quite good with red being the worst for fade. As above if you have any shadows left you have have a body shop mop them out cost should be £90 for the whole car thought that could be very different depending where you go
