V8S Drivers Window Stuck

All of a sudden my drivers door window seems to be stuck, luckily in the up position. When I press the switch the volt meter moves slightly. The passenger one works fine so can't be a fuse - unless they are fused seperately. Any ideas before I start dismantling things. Thanks in advance. Joe

Not sure if it'd the same switch as an S3C but recently had a similar problem. It was the connections on the back of the switch. With a bit of jiggling and tightening the connections function was restored.

They both share a common fuse on mine - but it is a TVR ;-)

Of course, if you're getting power to the motor I could be talking rubbish...

what a pain! and i hate to gloat but you have pointed out one of the main reasons I went for an s1 one less thing to worry about. good luck! (do wish i had more power and better handeling mind .)

Fantastic - glad to be of assistance and after only 1 week of me owning a TVR! I should thank Doug at David Gerald as he sorted the problem before we left the shop.

I'm compiling my list of questions at the moment - hope I'll be as lucky with the answers!

First challenge is getting the electric mirrors to work but having got the passenger side one at least in the right place I'm not too desparate to take too much apart - the stories of dash removal scare me!

Might be worth checking to see if you still have motors in the mirrors before you start pulling things apart. If they have got broken in the past they might not necessarily have had the motors replaced or re-connected. Assumming you have checked the fuse and the switches you'll need to see if there is any power getting to the mirrors. They are a bit of a bugger to get off (like everthing else on a TVR!) but once you can get at the wiring you can obviouly see if there is any power there. Good luck. Joe
