Here's an idea. When a so-called celebrity is granted an injunction to prevent their 'privacy' being invaded (not that they mind when it's to their advantage, only when it shows them in a really bad light), the media should refuse to report anything about them! They'd soon get p155ed-off if their on-field exploits weren't making the headlines - Streaky

Apologies if another thread on this is running, no search available on Mobile site - S

I quite like that idea biggrin

Perhaps we could extend it to their other halves, as that might be privacy invasion by proxy?

What about a blanket injunction to prevent any reporting on "celebrities" whatsoever? That way we wouldn't be bombarded daily with the banal, trivial and largely contrived antics of a bunch of up-themselves talentless tossers.

Even better idea - only grant them when really necessary and not just some self-important personage trying to hide their misdeeds from the public (and sponsors) gaze.

I pretty much achieve this. I do not read newspapers, and am selective in my choice of other media. It is quite possible to avoid 'celebs' if you so wish.

If you'd heard the rumours about the state of his blankets you would understand the need for an injunction wink
