As I understand things when you present a newly built kit car for a BIVA the emmissions test is relative to the year of manufacture of the engine used. What I can't to seem to be able to clarify is what the tester will accept as proof of the engine date? Can anyone help?
A letter or data sheet from the manufacturer, The V5C of the bike the engine came from, An internet source of engine data (less likely this one). A publication like a Haynes manual.
bizarrely mine was built as low volume professional build so new car emissions for iva then dvla inspected as as donor engine 2000 have got 2000 plate instead of 10 plate! martin
